A Need for Leads…

We were recently approached by a small business owner looking to build a brand for his small business and generate more qualified leads. We discussed his current protocol for lead generation and discovered that most of his leads were coming through referrals and, while the quality of the lead was generally high, the overall quantity of leads was holding his business back.


He simply needed more leads to accomplish his profit goals. We ran a cursory audit of his lead-generating activities and uncovered several opportunities for him to increase his incoming lead traffic by creating a digital presence for his business and increasing his marketing and advertising activities.


For a Brandless Business.

  • ● The client owned and operated a small, but lucrative service business in Northwest Arkansas. The business consisted of a small group of specialists, and had reached seven figures, but was investing little in marketing activities or digital presence.

Building a brand.

After some cursory research, the client’s Small Business Consultant developed a plan to build the client’s brand. We began by identifying the client’s strengths and comparing them to other businesses in the industry and identified a value proposition that was unique in the client’s particular industry. Once we had the value proposition, we set to work building an online presence that communicated the brand’s value proposition and drove awareness of the brand. We started by building a website to establish the brand’s credibility that effectively communicated the mission and values of the brand.


For non tech savvy clients, building an entire website can seem like a daunting task. Our Small Business Consultants are well-versed in website design and functionality and soon had a beautiful site that articulated the services and benefits of the business and allowed potential leads to contact the business.


When the website was complete, it was time to expand the online presence to social media. Many small business owners see social media as a purely social tool, but the value of social media as a business tool cannot be understated. In today’s world, the greater a business’s digital presence, the more trustworthy and established the brand appears. Even if your brand doesn’t pull customers or leads in directly from social media, merely having an active social presence can increase the credibility of the business. It also offers brands the opportunity to more effectively communicate your brand’s personality. The newly established digital presence also increased the complexity of the business operations.


As awareness of the brand began to increase, we needed a system for cataloging and responding to the leads. We worked with the client to determine his preferences, habits, and budget and developed a system to capture the new leads and funnel them into an affordable management system.


In order to keep the client from an overwhelming influx of phone calls and emails, we established a business email address and implemented a voice-over-IP (VoIP) system to protect personal information and filter spam. After the brand, digital presence, and operational systems were in place, we developed a targeted advertising plan that would allow the client to collect information from prospective leads.


We then integrated that information into the client’s existing lead management system so that leads from all sources could be managed in a single system. Almost immediately, the client called us excitedly explaining that there had been an influx of leads.
